If you are receiving this email, it is because you are an active part of our Miami studio’s ecosystem! The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our Studio Insiders (studio members, staff, interns, and resident artists) in the loop on what’s happening at the studio in the coming month. It’s meant to be a bare-bones run down to help you maximize your studio time and help you stay on top of deadlines, deals, and events. This email only goes out to the folks who we know might need it. Keep an eye out for it in your inbox!
DATES TO REMEMBER
TROPIC BOUND IS ALMOST HERE:
February 6-9, Tropic Bound Artists’ Book Fair is taking over Miami’s Design District. This international fair, co-founded by Ingrid Schindall, Sarah Michelle Rupert, and Cristina Favretto, is a huge labor of love for us. The whole Miami P&Pr team will be all-hands-on-deck for the fair, so please anticipate some communication delays and a heavily booked schedule from now until February 10th.
If you know you will need some support from us (project planning, assisted studio time, private instruction, etc.) please reach out ASAP so we can figure it out.
Want to get involved with Tropic Bound? Sign up to volunteer! Being a part of the team that makes it all happen is the best way to get to know all of the teams and exhibitors.
Just want to come and see what it’s all about? Pencil us in! The fair is free to attend.
FUNKY SCHEDULING IN JANUARY:
Reminder: Brooke Frank will be away from the studio from approximately January 6-24. If you need anything that would usually be handled by Brooke while she’s gone, please email info@isprojectsfl.com or call the studio’s phone number: (305) 646-1065
Brooke handles most studio member scheduling, so members: this is especially noteworthy for you!
PORTFOLIO EXCHANGE UPDATE:
We’re off to the races! The edition specs have been sent out and the artists have started printing. If you didn’t see them, the details were sent out in an email with the subject line: Spare Change: Portfolio exchange details are here!
If you know that your plans will likely require you to be here at the studio an awful lot, we have a suggestion:
Consider a Studio Pass during the month of February.
We have 7-Day passes and 30-Day passes. We can only support four passholders at a time, so we suggest booking yours ASAP if you are hoping to come in an marathon your edition before it’s due!
The deadline to deliver your edition is April 1st, 2025, and March is going to be a little bit intense at the studio, so the sooner you get started, the better!
LEARN + MAKE
Sign up for a workshops in the new year!
There are lots of great ways to learn over the next few months here. If you know you’re ready to dive in, don’t delay. Members, don’t forget to use your member discount code at checkout.
Want something a little more personal? Learn whatever you want or set up a workshop for just you and your Valentine!
Set up Private Instruction for you and a small group of folks who’d also love to learn. Members: You get 20% off on all Private Instruction! Search your emails from us for your code. This is a great way to spread the love (of learning!) — consider it for a date to set the mood before Valentine’s Day, or a get-together with the friends you want to celebrate!
Add one of the workshops we have ready-to-go to your cart to check out through our website. We’ll reach out to schedule your private workshop ASAP. If you want to set up Private Instruction for something a little more off-the-beaten-path, you can still absolutely do so through this link. If you’re purchasing through the website, use your member code at checkout. Members will find that scheduling Assisted Studio Time is more practical for one-on-one learning, but Private Instruction lets you set up a workshop for you and up to three other folks. As long as a member is booking the workshop, the discount applies to the whole purchase! We want it to be easy for you to share the things you love with the people around you.
ART FOR YOU TO TAKE HOME
GIFT IDEA: YOUR ANNUAL PRINT?
Members: We owe you a print or two! Come get some art for yourself or gift your print to your Valentine!
Members may recall that they have been promised an annual print for every year of membership, and it’s time we get those prints into your hands. For 12 months of membership, you can choose one print from the selection we’ve put together in a special drawer in the front. It includes prints which use a whole bunch of different techniques and from a wide range of time and artists in our history printing here.
Additionally, if you have a few cool prints kickin’ around that you would rather have living in the collection of our loving community members, please reach out to Brooke (via email at brooke@isprojectsfl.com) to arrange to donate some prints to the annual print drawer. Someone may use their credit to take your print home — yet another beautiful instance of community exchange here.
To get your print, all you have to do is pop in. The drawer is in our Museum Store up front, and if you tell us you’re here to pick up your annual print(s), we’ll help you browse and send you home with art!
