Ready to use the studio?

We are currently in the process of moving to the Bakehouse Arts Complex! This means all of our access programs are on pause until we can get back up and running. The information below is how our access was previously structured and remains here for informational purposes only. Please sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page to be among the first to find out how access will work in our new space!

Classes

We have classes for curious and creative people at any level of experience, ranging from intro level classes in basic book and print techniques to master classes intended to sharpen the skills of more experienced makers.

Membership

Our studio membership give you access to rent studio time. Membership lasts one year and comes with a thorough welcome course where you can learn about our facilities and brainstorm how to make the most of it with one of our expert staff. You cannot rent studio time without studio membership.

Studio Rental

If you know what you want to make and need our equipment to make it happen, we can help you. We can support projects in a number of printmaking processes, including letterpress, relief, etching, and silkscreen. We also have a lot of equipment for papermaking and book arts. Note: Membership is required to rent studio time.

Private Instruction

Don’t see the class you want on the schedule? Anyone looking to learn a book or printmaking skill that we offer here can arrange a block of time to learn it! Scheduling is flexible. Private Instruction can accommodate between one and four people.

Residencies

Artists looking for short term, intense, focused time in our facilities may be a good fit for one of our artist-in-residence programs. We offer four different types of residencies which allow artists to make the most of our facilities and community.

Internships

Students of print and bookmaking who want to develop their skills in a collaborative public-access studio should consider applying for our paid internship. It is a competitive opportunity with many benefits, including studio access and mentorship from the IS Projects team.
