October Class Newsletter
/WE’RE BACK!
The pandemic certainly forced us to get creative with executing our mission to share the love of print, book, and paper with current and future generations. Over the last year, we developed a series of donation-based virtual classes and at-home workshop kits, enabling us to expand our print community far and wide. We were so grateful to connect with our studio regulars while meeting folks from all over the United States and Europe. That said, we were more than ready to open our doors up this Fall in order to sling some ink and pull prints with you all in person again! So, it only makes sense that we restart our Class Newsletter in order to keep you in the loop on upcoming classes, share instructor spotlights, exclusive class discounts, and fun shots from the previous month.
If you’ve taken classes with us before, you may notice some changes. We’ve given our class page a bit of a makeover, kept the most popular classes on the schedule while adding a bunch of new techniques for both beginning and advanced printers, developed a series of private classes for parties and small groups, added A LOT more monthly open studio dates (including weekends!) AND expanded our team of teaching artists.
Check out what we’ve been up to and what to look forward to below!
It’s been a tough year for both meeting people and connecting with old friends. With that in mind, we wanted to create more social outlets for people at the shop. We’re really excited to be partnering with our neighbors, Small Wine Shop, on a monthly series of Drink and Ink Date Night classes that pair natural wine tasting with printmaking techniques!
Know a teen interested in learning more about printmaking? Historically, we’ve only ever offered classes for adults but one of our new instructors has developed a monthly series for DIY teens!
Print Club programming is back! We’ll be opening up enrollment for our 2022 Print Club Membership in November, so stay tuned.
A new batch of printers joins us in the studio every Thursday night this month to learn three fundamental printmaking techniques to build upon: linocut, intaglio and mono printing. Two weeks down, two to go!
