We’re closing up shop… for now
Dear friends,
After 10 incredible years, Miami Paper & Printing Museum (IS Projects) will be moving out at the end of July. While I don’t yet know exactly where or when we’ll reopen, we’re working hard to find a new home. This moment is rough, the equipment is heavy and the memories are glorious. I’m proud of all the prints we’ve pulled together here. I’m really grateful for all the trust, love, and support that you all have given to me and our funky gang of passionate artists and “obsolete” equipment.
As we prepare for this transition, we’re hosting two pop-up fundraisers this weekend to help us carry our presses, programs, and spirit into the next chapter:
🌀 Saturday July 12: 1–5pm
Poster Jam Fundraiser @ Dale Zine – 7395 NW Miami Ct, Miami, FL
Grab a piece of the studio’s hard work: artists’ books & prints, or make a poster and enter our poster contest for a studio-related prize. All proceeds will go toward securing a future for the studio
🌀 Sunday July 13: 1–5pm
Last Hurrah at the Studio – our final open house with the space fully assembled.
Come say goodbye, pick up prints, buy art supplies and artists books, and smell the ink.
🌟 If you participated in the portfolio exchange, they’ll be ready and waiting for you!
✨ If you’re interested in purchasing equipment (flat files, type, ink, rollers, presses, etc) this will be your first chance to purchase.
❤️ Our last exhibition in the contemporary wing What is Behind a Smile by Katelyn Kopenhaver will be on display.
Other important dates as we get to packing:
Friday July 11
LAST DAY TO PRINT IN THE STUDIO. If you have a printing project that you are trying to finish up, please reach out asap to book some studio time or check out our final open studio sessions.
Tue-Fri July 15-18: 12–7pm
Last week to pick up personal items from the studio / equipment and supply sale
If you have any personal items at the studio please make sure to make arrangements to pick them up this week. We’ll be packing like crazy and can’t be responsible for your items after this week.
We’ll be announcing more opportunities to purchase supplies and equipment from the studio after July 14th. If you’d like to help with packing up please submit your phone number here to be added to our whatsapp volunteer group where we’ll be posting needs, hours, and other ways to help.
Whether you’ve printed with us once or a hundred times, we hope you’ll join us this weekend to celebrate what we’ve created! Your support will help shape what comes next.
With all the love,
Ingrid
P.S.
If you have items at the studio or questions about the transition please see the FAQ at the end of this email.

FAQ
I have prints, screens, ink, etc. at the studio! When can I pick them up?
We’re still here in the studio Tuesday-Friday 12am-7pm and the sale dates listed above. Please come pick up your belongings by July 18th. After that, it will be much harder to find your belongings and we cannot be responsible for their safety.
What about the Portfolio Exchange?
Our recently completed Portfolio Exchange will be ready for pick up during our Studio sale on July 13th from 1-5pm. Please come by and pick up your portfolio during those or the following week Tuesday-Friday from 1-5pm if you are local. If you’re not local, we’ll be shipping portfolios the week of the 14th. Please submit your address here if you need your portfolio shipped
What will happen to the equipment?
We will likely be selling some equipment and flat files. We’ll be posting availability of items on Instagram as we start to pack. If there is anything you are interested in specifically let us know.
What about supplies?
We’ll be selling as many art supplies as we can before we have to move. Please come by the studio for mega deals on paper, ink, leather, linoleum, and lots of other supplies.
Can I volunteer to help with the move?
Yes please! We’ll need all the help we can get! Submit your phone number here to be added to our whatsapp volunteer group where we’ll be posting needs, hours, and other ways to help.
I’m a member, what does this mean for me?
You should have received a separate email with more details. Let us know if you didn’t get it.
I have an in-progress project! What’s going to happen?
We’re trying to tie up all the loose ends before we pack everything up. If you have a project in progress please reach out to us asap at info@isprojectsfl.com with subject line: Project in progress.
